Just stay cozy and comfortable in your home for your newborn session, Amy specializes in coming into your Louisville or Lexington area home and photographing your newborn baby. She will bring several things to use for the photos but loves to look around your home and use heirloom blankets or items from your home that you can pass down to your child.
When Amy comes to your home she will walk around and find the best spots for photos based on lighting. Amy will direct you and your partner with everything you need for amazing newborn photos- how to sit or stand, where to look, and also make any detail adjustments from removing the medicine bottle on the nightstand or the diaper rash cream on the changing table!
Just focus on taking care of your new baby and Amy will take care of everything else!
“I can remember my newborn session with my daughter. She was tucked under my chin on my chest and I closed my eyes and began to tear up just thinking about how thankful I was for her. (Yes, some of those tears could have been because I hadn’t slept in a few days!)
But some of the tears were just having stillness and pause in the newborn session to exhale and really enjoy the moment. I want all my families to be present in every session we have together. Heirloom Treasures: Preserve Your Family's Legacy
After your Lexington KY newborn photography session, you will have the opportunity to choose how you would like to use your photos. Most of my families love heirloom albums, a few framed prints, and digital files to have for safe keeping. An heirloom album is a tangible piece of your history. It's not just for you; it's for generations to come. Your future family will get to know your story, your adventures, and your love story through these pages. You will have all your favorite photos at arms reach. No need to plug in the charger to your laptop and find the USB with your photos. All of your favorites are curated into one album, printed beautifully, and tell the story of your family at that moment.
How Does the Process work?
Fill out the contact us form and let’s set up a call together. On the call, we’ll talk about your session, the location, and what style of outfits you would love to have photographed. After the call, Amy will send an online agreement and the session fee will be due at this time. Amy can also help with styling your outfits for the session.
On your session day, we will walk around photographing you with different backgrounds while also capturing a mix of looking at the camera and some candid photos.
After each session, your photos will be posted in an online gallery. You will have the option to complete your ordering online or Amy will meet with you to decide the best way to enjoy your photos after the session.
For your album, you will receive a design proof in a couple weeks. We will finalize all of your custom details and it will be in your hands within 8 weeks.
For custom professional framing, a mockup with your chosen photos will be sent to you for approval within a couple weeks. Then your frames will be delivered within 6-8 weeks.

Around your second trimester is a good time to book your newborn session. Newborn sessions are booked months in advance. Once we have everything booked, then just text Amy from the hospital when you know your discharge date. Then we’ll try to get your session on the calendar when your baby is ideally 5-7 days old up to 14 days old.

Nope! I have photographed many sessions where the baby sleeps in a crib in the parent’s bedroom. Whatever your living situation is totally fine! And if you do have an amazing nursery, we will be sure to get a photo of that too!

Yes! Absolutely, mother and baby in strong health is top priority. Just keep Amy posted about any delays and then we’ll schedule the session once you know your discharge date.

Yes! I have several amazing hair and makeup artists who I would love to refer to. They can come to your home and have you looking glowing and vibrant like you have had a full night’s sleep!

I know you may be pregnant now and not sure what will fit postpartum. That’s tricky. I suggest ordering several sizes and items to have on hand when you get home from the hospital and return what doesn’t work.
Ideally your best bet are things that will be flowy around your midsection since you will still have swelling in your belly. Regardless of your style, you can chat with me about outfits and I can send you a few things I would recommend for photos.

Your session includes a consultation to design your session, my time preparing and photographing your session, my time editing the session and uploading it to an online gallery. Products such as prints, digital files, albums, and framed wall art are purchased separately.

Yes, you will have the opportunity to purchase reprint rights and digital files from your session after the session. You can choose one file or all of the files.

When you purchase your files, you can download your files from your online gallery. There is also an option to purchase a customized USB C drive to store your files in a keepsake box.
